Dinner Rolls

Soft, delicious dinner rolls are the perfect accompaniment to any meal!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 1/2 cups flour
  • 4 tsp yeast
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar or honey
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 eggs lightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 cup warm water (110-120 degrees)

Instructions
 

  • Combine water, yeast, oil, and sugar. In separate bowl, combine flour and salt.
  • Add eggs and flour mixture to yeast mixture. Mix well until combined.
  • Knead on floured surface until smooth and elastic. Let dough rest 10 minutes.
  • Shape into 2-dozen dinner rolls. Let rise.
  • Bake at 350F for 12 minutes. Remove from oven and brush tops with melted butter or oil.

Notes

To freeze rolls: After shaping rolls, place in freezer on a cookie sheet until frozen through. The frozen rolls can be then transferred to a large resealable freezer bag. When you are ready to bake the rolls, remove from bag, place on pan and let thaw/rise. Bake as directed.
