Rhubarb Slush

Summer wouldn't be complete without some refreshing Rhubarb Slush. Make a big batch of this in the spring/early summer when rhubarb is plentiful and enjoy it all summer long! The most refreshing summer rhubarb slush recipe!

Ingredients
  

  • 7 cups rhubarb chopped
  • 7 cups water
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 12 oz frozen lemonade thawed
  • 12 oz frozen orange juice thawed
  • 1-1.5 cups Brandy (vodka, rum... your choice) optional

Instructions
 

  • Simmer rhubarb and water until rhubarb is soft. Strain out juices and throw pulp away.
  • Add sugar, lemonade, and orange juice to the rhubarb juice. Stir until lemonade and orange juice is completely thawed.
  • Add alcohol if desired. Pour into large container (empty ice cream pails work perfectly) and freeze.
  • Once frozen, scoop desired amount into glasses and top off with your favorite lemon lime soda! Kick your feet up and enjoy!
